Valerie came to Gospel Rescue Mission in a wheelchair, unable to walk after being in a coma for 8 months after unintentional exposure to fentanyl. She miraculously awoke to discover she had no job, no home, no car, and no family.
Through her hard work and faith in the Lord, she slowly regained the use of her legs, going from wheelchair to walker to cane to nothing at all. She is a true miracle and is now focused on reconnecting with her children, finding meaningful employment, and ultimately housing.
